Greetings ~

For many years, I have attended the annual Father's Day Classic Car Meet at Akron's Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens. I have always enjoyed this event. However I have been unable to go for the past several years because of health issues.

I understand that this year, 2020, because of the Coronavirus, (Covid-19), the show has been canceled. But there's always next year.

On June 21, 1981, I had the pleasure of entering a car in the show. I didn't win any prizes but the real prize was simply being a part of it all. My wife and I had a great time. We also met many car lovers that day who liked the 1963 Chevy Bel Air that I had taken to show.

Even when there's a chance of rain or foul weather, the "Show Must Go On". And it does.

This blog features a few years that I attended, plus the year we showed our car. Back then there were no cell phone cameras or digital cameras that had unlimited amounts of pictures. Then we used standard cameras and only had a few exposures per roll of film. But I got many of the highlights.

If your a car nut like me, I hope you see some things here that you'll enjoy. Maybe you'll even see yourself if you were there.
